THE ORIGINAL TOUR ADDS MULTI LINGUAL COMMENTARY TO THEIR MUSEUM TOUR AT BTTF

Languages include Japanese and Russian

In addition to their two popular main tour routes, customers of The Original Tour will shortly have the delights of London’s top museum districts relayed to them in their own language thanks to a new multi-lingual commentary.

The open-top bus tour specialist announced at BTTF that it will be adding the multi-lingual commentary to their new Museum Tour this spring due to the increasing number of overseas visitors.  From April, passengers will be enjoy the many attractions, shops and museums along the route running from the British Museum down to Kensington and Knightsbridge for Kensington Palace, Harrods, the V&A, Natural History and Science Museums, whilst listening to an informative and entertaining commentary.

Said commercial director Colin Atkins: “With three full tour routes and two connecter services, linking to some of the most exciting museums and attractions in the world, we are confident that we are able to offer the best possible experience to our visitors. Our Japanese sales channels have repeatedly asked for guided links to the museums and so we are particularly delighted to be able to provide them with this service”

“In addition to the key European languages we have also added Russian following a surprise growth in group bookings from this market”

The Museum Tour runs between 08:15 and 17:15 every 15 minutes and links directly into their other tour routes. Tickets also include a choice of two different free Thames river cruises.

The Original Tour also announced at BTTF that, just over 12 months after introducing a second £1.6 million fleet of new buses, it is now set to make a third £1.6 million investment in new vehicles for 2007.

The Original Tour will have one of Europe’s most up-to-date fleets at a time when it is predicting major growth in business from Continental visitors –as well as from the home market - in 2007.  Full details of the new fleet will be available at The Original Tour’s stand L434 at the British Travel Trade Fair.

The Original Tour’s fleet of ten new buses, the first of which will be introduced in June 2007 means that, when added to their existing service, over one third of the company’s vehicles will have wheelchair access, an important factor given the huge influx of tourists that will be coming for the Olympics and Paralympics in 2012.
