London’s PREMIER SIGHTSEEING COMPANY Announces
The Original Tour, the London sightseeing operation of Arriva plc, has announced the appointment of Bob Scowen as their new Managing Director.
The Original Tour, which recently won the UKInbound inaugural Chairman’s award for Innovation, was founded in 1951 and is now the largest and most popular sightseeing tour company in the world. The company has made significant investments into its product during recent years and continues to prove extremely popular with both domestic and overseas visitors.
Bob Scowen said of his appointment: “I am delighted to be taking on such an important and exciting role. The business already boasts an excellent management team with a proven track record for innovations, such as the introduction of the first ever brand new purpose built sightseeing buses into the capital, The Original Tour has consolidated its position as market leader – and I intend to build on this fantastic reputation even further.”
Mr Scowen has previously held other senior positions within the Arriva Group, a major European transport services organisation, most recently with Arriva’s International division.
